About Historic Greenmead
Greenmead was the home of Joshua Simmons who worked this land in the 1820s.
Its 95 acres protects numerous buildings that would have been razed and forgotten. It also features the original farm!
The fine buildings, the farm, and the beautiful flora is the perfect setting for our festival. It certainly gives plenty of room for the Motor City Irish Fest to grow into the future.
Greenmead was obtained by the City of Livonia in 1976.
Be sure to explore the grounds and buildings while at the Irish Fest.
